Chopper Spins Wildly into Palm Groves at Popular California Coast
A helicopter flying near a well-attended southern California shoreline suddenly began spiraling uncontrollably, eventually descending rapidly and plunging into a row of palm trees as onlookers observed.
Videos shared online depict the helicopter starting to spin near the shoreline then plunging towards the perimeter of the coast, where it gets stuck between palms and a set of stairs adjacent to the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Information
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five people were taken to hospital involving two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” following the incident on that day.
Three individuals on the pavement were harmed. Details on their wounds were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
